I wanted a corporate lifestyle. The kind you would see in the movies. I was ambitious, professional, and driven. But I still didn't know how to get to the career that I wanted.
Being fascinated by the advertising industry, and decided to become a multimedia designer. Finally, something I enjoyed and felt like working for. I remember pitching an internship Idea with a web agency in New York. I did so well that they asked me to fly in for an interview. I went to New York for the interview and left with an official offer. I was moving to the Big apple! That's when I realised that no matter what I wanted in life, my ambition and determination would get me there.
It was also the first time I realised how important it was for me to be able to empower women with confidence and courage to go after their dreams. One of my first assignments was to create marketing material to encourage women to learn how to use the internet. The client was none other than Oprah Winfrey. YES OPRAH!! Suddenly my direction became more clear, and I loved it!
As I learned about the world and continued to grow professionally, I realised that not everyone had the opportunity or resources to be courageous and confident enough to go after their dreams. This was crushing. I decided that I would do everything I could to help women take control of their careers.
After almost 15 years in tech & media, I went for a career change that would allow me to continue to help others. I returned back to school to get my teaching degree, and spent several years teaching high schoolers both in Denmark and in the United Kingdom.
Then, in 2014, yet another step in my journey happen. I moved to Amsterdam with my husband, I jumped at the chance, to start to implement all my work and life experiences in one business: helping women get clear on what they really want in their career and assisting them in designing the right career path for themselves. I get to help women feel courageous enough to reach higher and help them develop their talents. Having worked with hundreds of women and being able to see the transformation in their lives, I feel grateful to be able to support them.
My vision is incorporated in every part of my personal and professional life. When asked what is most important to me, the answer will always be, to help women have the focus that will bring them the Confidence, Courage, and Clarity they require to create a life they love. I've taken control of my career, and so can you.
There are always opportunities around us, all we need is to be able to identify them. Let's talk about yours today.
